Refereeing is the only activity in the Clairlea-Westview Soccer Club for which we pay the participants. Most of our referees are players or former players who have chosen to expand their soccer experience through this challenging and rewarding activity.
All referees who refereed for the club last year are required to register with OSRA for the 2010 season. Upon completion of refereeing eight games, the total fee for Level 4 and half the fee for Level 3 will be refunded. Referees are also asked to contact the Referee Co-Ordinator by February 27 to advise if you are returning to determine the number of spaces that are available for new referees. For referees that didn't register with OSRA last year, please contact the Refereeing Co-ordinator.
The club will require a few new referees 12 years and older as of April 1, 2010 to referee house league games. Youth referees are paid and are required to take a Level 4 referee's course that is conducted by the Scarborough Soccer Referees' Association and costs $55.00. Upon completion of refereeing eight games, this course fee is refunded.
